BMW

In celebration of the M1's 30th anniversary, BMW quietly introduced a new model at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este last weekend. An aggressive, low-profile sports car, aspects of the design hark back to the original M1.

Blow Up Mouse

Better than a blow up doll, a Blow up Mouse

If your a creative, then you will be familiar with one of the most important machines of our time, and if you are Stephen Fry then you will do all you can to investigate The Gutenberg Press.

Check out thetrailer for upcoming Soul Wax documentary “Part of the Weekend Never Dies“.

From the Partizan site; “Director Saam Farahmand filmed Soulwax on their recent international dates, capturing all the excitement, chaos and humour of the world tour. Where the Beastie Boys filmed one gig with 50 cameras, Soulwax filmed 120 shows with one camera, in Europe, Japan, US, Latin America and Australia. The result is a snapshot of life on the road with one of the most exciting live bands in the world, and features their friends including 2manyDJ’s, James Murphy & Nancy Whang (LCD Soundsystem), Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice, Busy P, So-Me, Peaches, Klaxons and many more in interview, as well as behind-the-scenes footage, and LOTS of music.

The film will premiere at the Ether Festival at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Thursday 24 April.”

Help

"Ever noticed that the packaging of headache remedies isn’t exactly easy on the eye? Ironic, really, that when you want something soothing to ail your pounding skull, the products available sit on the chemist’s shelf and SHOUT their MESSAGES OF URGENT HELP in bold, bright colours, seemingly without a care for your poor tired eyes and head. Now this (above), from Help Remedies, is a nice idea that turns down the volume on medicine packaging. Their packets of pills and plasters not only look great but are also made of 100% recycled paper pulp. And at $6 for 12 headache pills (or 8 plasters), that’s not much more than most of the more well-known brands, so these are no vanity purchase. Plus you’ll get to look just that little bit cooler when you’re ill."

just then, the boredom set in...

"You've gotta wonder how, in a company the size of Microsoft, there's not a single person who has the balls to step up and say "Hey, you know what? This Vista music video we're making for the sales department, complete with a cheesy Bruce Springsteen impersonator and horrible music, damages the dignity of not only everyone involved in its production, but everyone who watches it." Seriously, how did this little slice of cringe-inducing embarrassment ever get made?"...

Jack Black on LSD

Clever Dick

It can't be easy being Dick Cheney, V.P.O.T.U.S. (Vice President Of The United States), second in command of the world's most powerful nation, constantly under pressure to perform. How he must long to escape, to do a Vladimir Putin and take just the one photographer on a macho foray into the countryside.

Of course, sometimes he gets the chance to do just that. Fly fishing for a few days with some trusted aides and colleagues. Only in the picture here, which you'll also find on his official website, look closely and you'll see in the reflection of his glasses exactly the sort of aide-de-camp/second lady our Dick likes to take with him. No wonder he's smiling.
